grand rapids streetcar

Street Cars traversed the streets of Grand Rapids where automobiles now reign. With a hiss of steam, a clang of a bell and the blow of a whistle, a small contingent of pedestrians boarded and became passengers. On those evenings, the assembled participants caused the street car to re-appear, if only briefly, to suggest the possibility that we could travel together rather than apart.
